Electronic wallets built their reputation in markets where local banking was slow or unwelcoming to gaming payments. Latvia is neither, which makes the honest assessment of a wallet here more nuanced than the usual promotional description.

How the route works
You hold a balance in the wallet, funded from a bank account or card, and pay the operator from that balance. Because the wallet already holds cleared money, the deposit is instant and the payout back into it is quick — commonly within hours rather than days. The extra step is that the money has to reach the wallet in the first place, and eventually has to leave it for your bank.
That extra hop is the whole question. If your Latvian bank transfer already lands the same day in both directions, a wallet is a stopover rather than a shortcut. If you keep balances across several jurisdictions, or prefer that your primary bank statement not carry the merchant name, the wallet earns its place.
Depositing and withdrawing
In the cashier you select the wallet route, log into the wallet in its own window, and confirm the euro amount. Credit is immediate. On the way out, the operator approves the request and the funds return to the same wallet, generally within hours on a verified account — one of the faster options available, and considerably quicker than the one to three working days a card refund needs.
The account name must match. A licensed Latvian operator returns money to the identified account holder, so the wallet has to be registered to you. This is also why the wallet has to be verified on its own side: an unverified wallet can have limits low enough to block an incoming payout entirely, which is a frustrating thing to discover at the moment of cashing out.
Keep it in euro
The wallet is where currency mistakes are easiest to make. Fund a euro wallet from a euro account at Swedbank, SEB, Citadele or Luminor, top up a euro-denominated balance, and nothing converts anywhere. Choose another currency for the wallet and you pay a conversion margin on the way in, again on the way out, and potentially a third time when the money returns to your bank. On ordinary sums that erosion is quiet enough to go unnoticed and large enough to matter over a year.
The promotions caveat
Wallet routes are excluded from campaign eligibility more frequently than bank transfers or cards. The convention is historical, but the effect is current: a deposit funded from a wallet may not trigger the offer you expected, and cannot be reassigned once it clears. Check the method clause on the terms page before topping up — the general rules are summarised on our bonus terms page.
Verify before you fund
A wallet payment is fast and difficult to reverse, which raises rather than lowers the value of checking who you are paying. IAUI, the Izložu un azartspēļu uzraudzības inspekcija, publishes a register of licensed operators and a list of domains blocked for serving Latvian players without a licence. Both take a minute to search, and both are far more informative than any assurance on a promotional page.
Deposit limits inside the account apply to wallet payments as to every other route, and the state self-exclusion register administered by IAUI covers all licensed operators in Latvia for a term the player chooses; see responsible gambling. Payments are for adults aged 18 and over.
